CrossCountry – Cashback, Rebates & Rewards

The CC 09.57 Banbury-Coventry train. It was reasonably full, but not too full. The seats are comfortable. The train was in good condition and had a nice decor.

I boarded a Cross Country train this morning approximately 9.36am, Newcastle to Birmingham New Street, arrival 1.06pm. I was expecting delays due to strikes for which I purchased a return open first class ticket in advance to assure as comfortable journey as possible due to tiredness. I have to say that the service I experienced with both Paul (until Leeds) and Alex (thereafter) was exceptional, the best to date. A particularly rude passenger boarded who didn’t hold a valid ticket I thought that Alex dealt with the situation respectfully and impeccably. Alex understood the fact that first class is solely for those with valid tickets. Albeit my destination was Leamington Spa which was cancelled, the service I received until then was exceptional - Full credit to your team - wonderful service by very professional and friendly staff. Thank you

Me and a friend were getting a train to Derby and it was her birthday the staff saw the balloon and gave us a first class upgrade, which was a lovely surprise for us! Lovely staff

So I got a train this morning the 10:51 from Nuneaton to Peterborough the ticket I had was for the 12:51 however after receiving a phone call which was very sensitive after explaining to DAVID my situation he knew I was desperate to get home as have been. I was visiting my sister. The conductor DAVID showed great empathy and compassion as said not to worry and allowed me to travel on the train 2 hours before I was due to. His customer service was excellent and I can’t thank him enough he even told me where there was a seat and for me to get comfortable just shows there are nice people in this world DAVID you are a star thank you from the bottom of my heart

The train manager allowed me on the earlier train although I was booked 30 minutes later on a cold evening. Really appreciate it, thank you so much
