CrossCountry Tracking Order Status

Purchased my ticket online from Birmingham to Edinburgh approximately 3 months prior to departure. Easily done but could not reserve seats. Tried at several different times. Went to ticket agent at Birmingham New Street yesterday and was told we got the last 2 reservable seats. While not together very close. Took train today. Huge step up from platform to car. Ripped luggage as everyone pushing in. No attendents to help. Reserved seats were 6A and 9A ; however actual seats numbered 1,2,3, etc. No alpha. Wasn't only one confused. Resulted in people sitting anywhere and moving if a newer passenger demanded it. Insufficient luggage storage for international travellers. Overhead bins only handle small back packs and carryons. A real gong show! One positive - train arrived in Edinburgh earlier than scheduled.

The CC 09.57 Banbury-Coventry train. It was reasonably full, but not too full. The seats are comfortable. The train was in good condition and had a nice decor.

The CC 12.57 Banbury-Oxford train on 22/04/23. It was full and standing. The train was in good condition, but it should be lengthened. Better still, more trains! The recent reduction from 1 train every hour to on every 2 hours, since alternator ones now apparently terminate at Banbury not Oxford any more.

Half the journey on the Stansted line cancelled so had to spend an hour waiting in Leicester for the next train. Also the wifi doesn't work and there's no phone chargers. Please let LNER buy you out.

Amazing customer service online but….disgusting trains. Filthy, smelly, old, on need of huge face lift. Never using them again. GWR are amazing
