Ripe Insurance- Caravans Tracking Order Status

Renewal price for canal boat given on email at £156 but online was £130 for exact same cover. Seems odd a loyal customer has to pay an extra £26 to renew and customer service could only say they might get the price somewhere between the figures. Not ideal so I took off the personal cover renewed online for an even better price of £115. Hopefully I won't ever need to claim as their business practice seems strange.

Thankfully I have never had to make and insurance claim on anything before. Unfortunately, I sustained some damage to my caravan last month and so had to put in a claim. I had been insured with Ripe for a couple of years as they seemed a good price. I really didn’t know what to expect as they were certainly not the most expensive on the market. I initially made the claim on line and received an email back which I then phoned to talk to an agent. I was told to get a quote for repair with a local company, which I did and set the process in motion. I have had to make a couple of calls to them during the process for clarification and to understand the process. During this time, I have found the whole thing surprisingly easy and stress free. I have spoken to three different members of the team and found each one very polite and efficient. Its certainly nice to speak to a real person who understands your issues. The process is now complete with the payment made and I have booked the caravan in for repairs next week. A big thank you to the team!

Renewed my policy without any notification & rude staff person told me I had agreed to autorenewal when I signed up & it's in the terms of business. You don't actually get a copy of terms until you have paid. Just lucky I know you have a 10 day cooling off period for any insurance policy when the money is taken. Note that Ripe also don't work Saturday or Sunday so no response from them

I had an issue with my laptop and Ripe was very helpful and timidly in payout. Not a major ordeal and no quibble. I would recommend these guys

I had the misfortune to lose a 21 foot launch in a major storm in Menorca last summer. My insurers, RipeInsurance, responded brilliantly. They paid out for the full amount of cover (less a small excess) within two weeks of the event. They also paid all salvage and disposal costs of the launch (which was a total right off). Their premium was very competitive and having now bought a much newer launch I have re-insured with them. Every cloud has a silver lining as the say, in this case the silver lining was provided by RipeInsurance!
