Used Candid in 2021 and was actually pretty happy with the experience. Got to my last tray, it didn’t fix my whole bite but most of it.. i reached out to candid about continuing my treatment and they wanted to charge me another 2k and actually it was a little more since they increased their price.. Regretfully Candid was a bit scammy.. They will only reprint at ur cost the last tray but if you want to do say retainer 10-14 they won’t do that for you /: Would be nice if they made it right but from my conversations with customer support don’t believe it will happen

I had traditional braces as a kid but once that treatment was finished I didn't take the proper care afterward. Over the years my teeth shifted and became crowded. I decided it was time to get it sorted out. Which is when I discovered Candid. I started my Journey with Candid in September of 2021 (09.28.21). It was initially meant to be a 10 month journey but ended up being a full year. Not knowing what to expect I followed instructions to a 'T' but the retainers never really fit snug. Twelve months came and went and Candid informed me I would need to do another round. It wasn't ideal but it was at no extra cost so I was OK with it. My second round felt better. More snug and an exact fit if you will. It was promising. Ten additional aligners meaning another five months. At the end of this journey - yet again Candid explained I would need another round at no cost. Now I'm starting to not understand. My Third and current round started in April (04.11.23) and was again - another five month journey. After two full years of treatment, multiple impressions, photos and interactions back and fourth we now sit with Candid.co saying "Your dentist thinks your teeth look great - you're done" only I disagree. The two main locations in my mouth I was truly interested in fixing weren't completely fixed yet. I reached out to customer support to a surprising notice that Candid.co was no longer supporting direct to consumer aligners; but they agreed my teeth might need another round and would send out another kit - hopefully ending this journey soon. Each time they send a kit they send the wrong size. It's like I have to remind them each time to send the large mouth kit or it won't fit. Weeks have been wasted with me waiting for new larger kits to arrive, impressions being rejected because of scraping, etc. With their business essentially closing I'm still waiting on my last kit, so I can hopefully finish with the smile I was hoping for. I grow increasingly nervous this won't happen, considering their support was ending in December due to the company deciding no longer supplying retainers directly to consumers over 18 months back. Ultimately - my teeth are straighter than they were; but they aren't perfect or what I was hoping to accomplish. I'll continue to wait and hope my FOURTH round is my final round - assuming it actually arrives. Would I do it again with Candidco? The price was just right - cheaper than others... but the process isn't great, and if everything goes as it should moving forward my ten month aligner schedule will finally be complete after two and a half years! So; no. I don't think I would. It's probably why Candid.co is only working with dentists moving forward.

Candid is not reliable. They promised to offer me a third set of aligners as a refinement of my treatment. Later on, they simply told me Candid would not provide them anymore because they did not have an orthodontist to follow up on my case. It was not said at the beginning of the contract. They did not deliver the expected results.

Although I had progressed in my treatment, they decided to discontinue, although previously they told me I had the right to the second step of the refinement. The explanation for that was not convincing based on the initial agreement. Therefore, I don't think you can trust them long-term and my results were not achieved.

I've been using Candid for just about three years. I had really no issues whatsoever until now. Apparently their business model is changing, and no longer allowing remote monitoring, and therefore not allowing refinements after 2 rounds. I am past two rounds. I was left with no options whatsoever, merely a "your treatment is complete!" So not sure what this new business model is going to look like, but I'm no longer a customer, against my own wishes, with an incomplete treatment.
