Where do I begin? First let me say the tech that came to the house to trouble-shoot the HWT issue was excellent. Also the HWT installers were decent. Where the failure occurred was with the call centre and with the "scheduler". I called Reliance to book the "scheduler" to get an install window. They asked what time I would like the scheduler to call me. I said 9am the next day. They said fine. By 1pm the next day I called to speak with the scheduler. Lots of excuses why they didn't call. In this conversation with him I was told he would get back to me with an install window within 2 hours. I contacted them back mid-day the following day to ask for the install window - obviously more than 2 hours had passed. More excuses were given why he didn't provide me a window within the given time frame. Goodness knows if he would have ever contacted me back if I didn't reach out to him first. On the day of install the installers did not show up within the window (7am-11am). I texted the scheduler and he said he would look into it. You would think if you are given a window starting at 7am that you would be the first appointment of the day. Apparently not. I find out when I get home that the installers did not install the agreed upon (signed contract) equipment (Rheem) and installed something else (GSW). How does that happen? I feel like I've paid a premium for Rheem but Reliance has now installed a different (perhaps inferior) product but charged me the price for the Rheem. I try to call the installer to get answers. He does not answer and his phone is not set up to take voice mail. What? You are in the service industry. I realize people can be busy but voice mail is a staple for customer service. I also find out the HWT installed has dents. What the heck am I getting here? I'm not compensated for a banged up product in any way. I pay the same price as someone pays for an undamaged product. Again getting in touch with the scheduler is a challenge. Apparently now they get back to me while they are waiting for the police to show up as he has just gotten into a car accident. Nightmare. Nothing good came from this experience. In fact, because of this experience, I will not go with Reliance again for any products.

I bought a house that has a reliance boiler and it is old. before i make a move request, i would like to see the contract, know the price, know my options but reliance are not being helpful. Call #1 wouldnt speak to me until i am the owner. Call #2 wouldnt speak to me until i signed up. Call #3 i tried chat, at 11.50am. it's closed as they are busy, told me to call. Call #4 So i called them and was told they are not accepting calls. I'l probably give up, move in, and wait until the knock on my door.

Frustrated and disappointed with their service. When i called for plumbing service, plumber didn't show up 3 times in a row. I booked again and again. And plumber claimed I didn't answer the phone or wasn't at home which is not TRUE. I was sitting at home by the phone waiting THREE TIMES. Then I called to cancel the plan, instead of canceling the plumbing plan, Reliance added one more plan on top of it, charging me double. I called to dispute the bill, BUT NO, they wouldn't help me. And they call on weekends to get me to sign up for more plans, but when it comes to cancellation, they were like oh please call on Monday. I can hardly find time during the week, weekends are the only times I do these types of calls... Reliance you are unreliable and really disappointed me this time.

Reliance Home Comfort, Oakville, ON No matter how busy I am today, I must share my Reliance Home Comfort experience. A service call for no hot water was logged at 2 a.m. last night, and a tech was scheduled for an 8 am -1 pm arrival. He came at 9:30 am and called before arrival. Great practise. Then the tech said it was a furnace call. However, he called the office and helped me log the proper water tank service call and also did my furnace, changed the filter and fixed the hot water tank. Hate to say this, but he's killing the hot water tank and furnace with one service call. Saved another trip and less carbon footprint. The tech was courteous and nicely replied to all our questions. And he left with my signature on the service call sheet as our Home Comfort system is under Reliance's maintenance. It pays to have pros looking after our system all year round. 👍 to Reliance!
