I closed my account, they didn't send bill, and then reported me to credit bureau

I closed my account with CCU, and they cut off access to their online banking system. I had a CCU credit card and did not receive a statement from them the first month after closing because I had enrolled in their digital statements, which would come through their online system. But since I closed the account, I didn't have access and didn't receive a bill. Thirty days later, I received a paper bill and immediately paid the balance in full. I later saw on my credit report that they reported me as having a late payment even though they never provided me a bill or a way to know what was owed. Stay away from this bank; that is my advice.

This is the worst bank to deal with

This is the worst bank to deal with. They literally have no compassion or empathy for their members and are rude. Take your money elsewhere because they do not deserve it. God forbid a major life event happens, they absolutely refuse to work with you. They are disgusting humans. I have never been treated this poorly before, I hate the fact I have to keep dealing with them and I will never do it again. I will also tell every single person I can not to either.

Dont refinance with a credit union

I refinanced my truck with this sorry bank I was trying for a lower interest rate and that was a mistake this bank has no idea what a fair interest is.

Today has been worse than a nightmare

Today has been worse than a nightmare. I logged into my account with Consumers Credit Union and saw that several charges had been made for which I was charged $30 overdraft fee for each one. The total amount was $210. I had been told that my debit card had been canceled because of an unauthorized transaction. Soon after that, I received TWO debit cards. I had no idea why I was receiving two. I was notified of one transaction that made my account overdrawn. I called and was told the card was canceled. However, then today, I wanted to get into my account over online banking and I saw that my balance was lower than expected. I then wanted to examine the account and found I couldn't do anything! The screen went blank and the circle that often appears with dysfunctional screens appeared; I could not do more. I spent almost two hours on the phone with agents at CCU. I had spoken previously with agents who told me that my debit card ending in 5712 had been canceled because of an unauthorized transaction. I received two debit cards in the mail and had to call in to ask why I received two cards. The explanation given to me was that one card was for my Free Checking account and the other for my Rewards Checking account.. The reason for the two debit cards, as I was told, was that one was to replace the card that was allegedly canceled and the other was for the Rewards Checking account. There was one charge made to the 5712 made by an organization called Litworth that worked in one of the websites on which I have published articles. That charge created an overdraft. Today, however, I learned of many more transactions that were all charged to that account and I was charged $30 for each one of them! If the card was canceled, that should not have happened -- or was I told the truth? I ended up today speaking with more than one agent at CCU, but in addition to the problem that I just described, there were other problems as well that cropped up while I was online with them. I was told today that I have three bank accounts! I have had the Free Checking account for years. I told about the Rewards Checking account above; that I had opened to receive payments from a company whose integrity I could not validate. However, I never opened a third account and have no idea who opened it. This makes me ask if someone else has opened an account using my name and information fraudulently. However, in the eyes of CCU, apparently, I am to blame! Tonight I called and reported that I seem to be blocked from logging in. The agent said he could reset my password, but todo that, I would have to receive a password via text. I have complained many times to CCU that whenever I make a request via text, it never comes through. I discovered tonight that because of that problem, there is no way I can get a password reset, so the result is that I'm blocked and can never get into it again! The agent said everything looked fine -- so I am to blame? I notified CCU many times that I cannot receive texts from them, but nobody listens. I am being ripped off for sure; now I have no money for staying alive. I am 72 years old and disabled; now I have no money to stay alive! I suspect the worst about them if they see fit to turn a deaf ear to me. I am going to make efforts to close my account with them -- if I have any way of getting money out, but I am not optimistic. No good will comes from so many problems that put my life in danger!!!
