Direct Energy – Cashback, Rebates & Rewards

Bait and switch.. Liars. Upped my prices by 5+ cents. no warning.. Refused to help. Stated they called me. Never did. Said they sent letters. Never did. Received the highest electric bill I have ever gotten in the 18 years I have lived in my home.

This happened many years ago. Signed a contract with these guys and tried to renew it illegally. Owed me over $400 and wouldn't pay. I actually had to contact my member of Parliament wo put me in touch with the Minister of Energy for Canada. Finally got my money back. These guys are liars and criminals!

Avoid, I’m being billed by Direct Energy on a house I don't even own and the refuse to update the contact details after numerous request since April. They just keep billing me and I didn’t eventually set up or request the service. Avoid them

So I didn't go through direct Energy, I had a broker named United Energy pick it out and it is stellar. I started it for my business in August last year and my rate is fixed at 8 cents while neighbors are paying 12 cents. So if you do pick a Direct energy try going through a broker named United Energy cause they make life much easier.
