Safeway Tracking Order Status

I think Safeway is the best store in the neighborhood

I think it is deceiving to put things on sale and then never have the products, however, as soon as they are off sale, bingo, they have them readily! Example - counter chicken breasts. Stopped in 3x - nope. Off sale, right back in. There are a lot of examples lately. Even the employees have mentioned how "strange" it is. Another ding is I wanted to contact Safeway via email and all you can do is call or mail! Really! So, if it continues, I plan on contacting whatever regulatory agency I need to and the BBB. These sales are being used to get you in the store and all they are doing is being very, very irritating! If they don't want to sell things at a certain price, don't put them in the damn ad! Other than that, we like Safeway but are starting to feel they are manipulative. Edit - this is Safeway in the Mesa AZ area at Alma School/Guadalupe. However, it happens at all Safeway's in our area. Does Albertsons get first dibs on product and Safeway gets the leftovers? That I have not checked as there isn't an Albertsons in close enough proximity to us.

Stood in line at food counter with young lady standing there watching, they were busy, After 3 min. of standing there waiting and making eye contact several times, she finally asks if I've been helped. After getting my order, with over a dozen employees working in the deli, she tells me no one can ring me out and I'll need to go through the regular check out line. The sweet older lady working the ONE open check out counter then charges me for the ranch which they have always given me in the past with chicken. Next the register freezes up and I have to stand there and wait until a manager comes over to figure out how to unlock it. So much for over half of my lunch hour. The general atmosphere was like everyone was stressed or cranky. I guess in retrospect I could have provided MY labor for FREE and checked myself out. How long would my customers stay my customers if I expected them to come to my shop, fix their own vehicle and then pay FULL price for the privilege to do so ???

Visited our Safeway in Pollock Pines. Karen, acting as manager, I guess, was exceptionally friendly today. Refund, in cash, no questions asked. I've always had good, friendly service at this store, even when power out (with snow) or Highway 50 closed.
